Thurnscoe Community Plaza

Thurnscoe Community Plaza opened in the Summer of 2022 and is a resource for everyone in our community and especially a space for young people to be active.

The Plaza includes dedicated areas for parkour, skate, scoot and bikes as well as amphitheatre seating and a community garden area. Since it opened it has been the site of many community events including ‘Ramp it Up’ where we host Team Extreme to demo pro-skills and provide free training to young people.

We have made a number of improvements to the physical space of the Plaza over the last few months. This has included installing a decorative archway and two benches and concreting over a mud slope to make an extra ramp.
